In this issue: A Twitter poll and discussion, on what people with chronic illnesses struggle with the most. Yes, you’re allowed to feel upset for awhile when you’re having a bad day. What we wish others would understand about losing your career due to chronic illness. A major self-identity crisis over chocolate – but it goes beyond that. Pre-planning recovery days is a vital pacing strategy. To make room for additional things on our plate in life, we will have to remove some things already on it as well. Sleeping troubles from depression, and realising just how much of a gift it really is. While chronic illness makes many things in life no longer possible, being flexible will help to create more opportunities. In order to heal, we need to forgive ourselves for not meeting our personal expectations, and accept the things we can’t control. Your body isn’t to blame when you can’t achieve a goal for the day – it has been fighting hard to stay alive.
