Friday, 08 February 2019. Issue #148.
In this issue: Respect your body’s limits and listen to it with an open and empathetic mind. Migraines are very misunderstood, and aren’t ‘just a bad headache’. Even though life often seems aimless or pointless, we need to cling on, and together we can do it. The need to step up on pacing, because no one else can take better care of you than yourself in that way. There will always be someone else worse off than you, yet your own suffering should never be invalidated. Grief for a pet cat with chronic pain, who is unable to articulate its pain. Taking charge of your health through the daily choices you make, and tracking the progress. You are not alone in your intense pain, and seeking pockets of joy within it. The one and only dream of the sick – to be healthy. Low carbohydrate diets can be extra hard on your body, if you are trying to lose weight and have fibromyalgia.
