In this issue: Spreading activities out over a few days, and pacing your breaks to prevent pain flares. It’s your life and you can do what you like with it, whether you are chronically ill or otherwise. Silencing the inner critic and starting slowly anyway. It’s important to be honest about pain with yourself, yet too many people are pretending to be fine. Sometimes existence in itself is exhausting, where even distractions aren’t possible. The dilemma of needing to make a nourishing meal but having no energy, and some helpful tools to add to your kitchen. The mercilessness of chronic fatigue, where time stops and you need to sleep for a long time. When you live with invisible illness, you learn to recognise the subtle signs and can pick it out in others as well. Cherishing every little good moment, and support from family and loved ones. Don’t beat yourself up whilst flaring, instead give your body what it needs to heal.

08 – 14 March 2019

In this issue: Loved ones also struggle in knowing how to show their support, and tips to help. Shit pics to help illustrate chronic pain. Trial and error in finding the most suitable CBD oil for specific types of pain. The physical heaviness of fatigue. #DisabledPeopleAreHot is trending, how and why. You will only have limited time with your pain doctor, and tips to prepare for it. Encouraging empathy from young through the book, ‘Noah the Narwhal’. Perspectives on managing instead of fighting illness, which is a common rhetoric in the media and general. It is okay to wait until you feel better – a reminder that has been pounded into my head the past few weeks. The chain effect of chronic pain, as if fighting for attention.
