Friday, 11 October 2019. Issue #182.
In this issue: Our pain and how we handle it is personal, and not for anyone else to judge. I cannot imagine how I’d look like if all my invisible illnesses were manifested upon my physical form. We are responsible for taking care of ourselves, and that comes in many forms such as speaking up for ourselves. Be honest with yourself on your limits whilst considering university or a PhD. Suicide ideation can take on many forms, from fantasies about natural death, to developing a terminal disease. If you pay attention, invisible illnesses really aren’t that invisible. Cutting off friends who show a total lack of empathy. Taking away first way ‘needs’ in order to innovate greener products. Taking advantage of a healthy body and going to the beach, if it were possible to leap out of bed pain free for a day! Whilst chronic illness can steal beloved hobbies, we can find new ways to adapt or discover new ones.
