Friday, 08 May 2020. Issue #212.
In this issue: Jo’s review of her website which we revamped! Acceptance and allowance of emotions, without attaching meaning to what it means for our future. May has a lot of awareness dates, which I’ve listed for the writing prompts this month. Our bodies are not passive whilst sleeping, but hard at work with our restoration tasks. We often forget how sick we have been, which is probably a survival technique employed by our bodies. Using writing and blogging as a way of rebuilding your life story. Nudging the fear of chronic pain and self-doubt aside, so that you can spend your energy where it’s needed most. Fear has taken over our lives with the COVID-19 pandemic, and healthy people are experiencing a taste of what it’s like to live with chronic illness or disability. Trauma permanently alters our brain structure, and should be considered as an explanation for chronic pain in and of itself. Caring for our caregivers by taking the time to ask them meaningful questions every day, and genuinely listening to their responses.
