In this issue: Pacing and planning regular rest breaks are essential for preventing a pain flare. It gnaws away at your physical and mental wellbeing when you’re in isolation for long periods. Don’t let someone else’s bad behaviour (ghosting) rob you of the possibilities of another beautiful relationship. How blogging opens up doorways for conversation, and breaks the stigma surrounding chronic illness. The frustration of being ignored or misunderstood by even your own healthcare provider. Setting aside Fridays for ‘party days’, and allowing myself to let go and relax. We are all on different journeys in life, especially with chronic illness, and that is okay. What it’s like dealing with aphasia after a traumatic brain injury, where you can’t read, spell or write. Lyme Disease is the fastest growing bacterial infection in the U.S. but is still severely underfunded. The fatigue you face when you see almost no improvements with your chronic illnesses, no matter what you try and do.
