In this issue: To stay motivated, you need to really believe in and show your subconscious how much you will benefit from a new behaviour. Activities that allow for sitting such as horseriding don’t affect blood pressure too much, which some people with POTS are able to do. Many who struggle with mental illness know how unreliable a feeling can be, whether it’s anxiety or even euphoria. You always have the final say as to treatments for your body, and doctors need to work as a team for you and not against you. Keeping your hours flexible when you are working with chronic illness as it can be so unpredictable. It can be depressing when you watch your body destroy itself and that new treatment you were hoping would work doesn’t. There is always at least a low level of pain every day when you live with chronic illness, and it also affects your ability to communicate this with others. Many people assume that it isn’t possible for young adults to get serious illnesses, and think that being in a wheelchair is temporary for them. The grief that comes with the loss of independence and the need to depend on others as a person with chronic illness. Blogging can be a gruelling job in its own right, and you need to take care of your health first as a chronic illness blogger.
