Friday, 08 January 2021. Issue #247.
In this issue: Buying pre-cut vegetables can really relieve those aching hands and other cooking hacks for the chronically ill. You did not fail anything when trying a new medication that didn’t work – the drug failed you. Creativity can help you to cope with the stress and anxiety that chronic illness bring. It’s possible to live a full and fulfilled life with chronic illness; don’t diminish that. Share how you’re stepping into the New Year with the January writing prompts. Whilst medications are toxic to a certain degree, so is chronic pain, which sucks the life out of us. Pain is a constant for the chronically ill, often lasting from waking to sleeping. Change both your mental and physical scenery to keep your brain stimulated, momentum and something to look forward to. When you write an article highlighting accessibility issues in your local town, but get a flurry of negative comments instead of support. When painsomnia causes fatigue creates more pain, which in turn drives anxiety and more pain.
“Another thing that can make a big difference is buying pre-cut #vegetables. Sometimes the repetitive motion of cutting is too painful, so I’ve learned that sometimes it’s worth it to pay extra to avoid it”: https://t.co/99Kh4pI7Ro @chronicmom1 #PainManagement #ChronicPain
