Busyness triggers an overactivity in our sympathetic nervous system which can lead to anxiety, depression, headaches and more problems. Sometimes, we need to pace our fatigue as much as our pain, in order to boost our motivation levels. Facing one of the biggest conflicts of your life – needing to quit your career due to chronic illness. Don’t assume that just because your chronically ill friend looks happy and well, that they’re able to achieve simple physical activities. The importance of seeking emotional and mental support when you first receive a chronic illness diagnosis. Addressing pain symptoms in order to raise awareness is not an overreaction or ‘negativity’.
