Friday, 12 March 2021. Issue #256.
In This Issue:
- Everyone with chronic illness has their own special pain relief toolkit that works specifically for them.
- We still have a long way to go in terms of conversation and stigma in relation to suicide and suicidal ideation.
- People who don’t live with chronic pain simply do not understand it; that when our bodies say to stop, we need to listen or suffer terrible consequences.
- Because of my lack from being chronically ill, I can be filled up with the beauty of life itself.
- Self-identity is based on how you view your own self, what you care about and your priorities; not your work or productivity levels.
- When you live with chronic pain, it is persistent, consistent, and there is never an ‘off’ button.
- Being unable to work due to chronic illness is heartbreaking and not easy to give up on.
- Doctors need to understand that treatment is a two-way street; they may have more knowledge, but they do not live in your body.
- When you can’t help but smile at your loved one’s efforts to make you feel better when you’re in a bad mood.
- It’s nice to support a fellow spoonie, and one way to do so is through purchasing things via their affiliate links.
