Friday, 25 September 2020. Issue #232.
In this issue: Whilst society has been led to believe that disabilities equal wheelchairs, disability actually comes in all shapes and sizes. The rudeness of doctors when you’re in pain can be doubly hard to bear. You may feel tiny and helpless, but just showing up for a friend in need can mean a great deal. How stress triggers more triggers and led to a final big pain flare. We are human who experience a full range of emotions, especially so when our pain never ends. Mental health issues have been on the rise with the lockdown this year – how have you been? When we’re in severe pain, we don’t have the emotional or physical bandwidth to deal with the span of emotions we’re feeling. Being body positive through self respect, regardless of others’ opinions or reactions. Taking intentional breaths can help manage stress, anxiety, blood pressure and more. When your body does what it knows is right but for the wrong reasons, and continues producing chronic pain.
